Our research aims to translate new concepts into clinical use. The latter requries preclinical evaluation and experiments that meet regulatory standards including a documentation that can be used for clinical trials or device approvals. In above context, preclincial studies in large models are of special importance to evaluate medical devices for certification in new application areas. Experiments are  performed in collaboration with the Center for Experimental Medicine offering support for handling, anesthesia but also histological workup. For example, new treatment options using MR-HIFU were brought from basic research into clinical trials.
